We found the perfect wave with WSL

The Beachwaver and the World Surf League teamed up for the first-ever Beachwaver Maui Pro in Honolua Bay, home of the perfect wave.

The Maui Pro was the final stop on the 2018 WSL Women’s Championship Tour, and IT. WAS. EPIC. We watched the world’s most dynamic female athletes surf some of the biggest competition waves in years, and we watched Carissa Moore take home the gold with a perfect, 10-point ride on the very last wave of the season. Plus, history was made, as Stephanie Gilmore earned her 7th World Title, tying Layne Beachley for most title wins ever! We couldn’t be more proud to partner with an organization that empowers women to follow their dreams, and we were blown away by the positive energy, good vibes and girl power. Mahalo for everything, Maui!

Pro surfer Rosy Hodge

Meet Rosy
Rosy began surfing at age seven in her native South Africa. A year later, she won her first contest, and began surfing professionally. She won nine South African Championships before qualifying for the World Tour, and was a Top-10 contender for four years. But her run ended when she failed to prequalify in 2010. Instead of giving up, Rosy took the opportunity to travel the world calling heats, becoming the first-ever female WSL commentator.
