Batia tries the half up

This week I tried the Half Up and I was so impressed with how well it worked! I tried it out on my friend Batia because she has very thin hair, which is perfect for the Half Up. Since it’s a smaller version of the Wrap up, you simply take the top layer of your hair and put it through. Then you start from the bottom and roll it up until you are at the top of your head and curve the ends of the Half Up inward. It’s so easy to do and the Half Up is very small, making it incredibly easy to just put in your purse and use whenever you want!

The Half Up made it so easy for Batia to get ready for her day. All she had to do to complete her look was curl the bottom layer of her hair and then put the top layer into the Half Up. The Half Up comes in three different colors, which is great because that means it’ll never clash with your hair color or show whatsoever! All that anyone else can see is a cute, petite bun and a stylish look.

The Half Up made it easy for Batia to look put together and stylish as she began her day. Also, since it’s small and easy to use, she had no problem using it and still getting to class in the morning on time. With only a few simple steps, she used it and had a great, classic hairstyle in no time.

My friends and I simply loved the Half Up because it gives you the ability to have a classic bun and have part of your hair down, straight or curly. It truly gives you the best of both worlds!

Brianna, Danette and the Half Up

This month is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and I am proud to say my cousin Danette has that extra chromosome.

My cousin Danette and her family are visiting Southern California from Colorado. Whenever they come to visit we catch up over makeovers, movies and just plain laughing. Danette is turning 21 this year and my family is planning a country themed party for her. Her favorite country artist is Reba!

Danette is the type of person who does not like to spend a lot of time on one hairstyle (we’re related) so I showed her my new Half Up. The Half Up is perfect for Danette because she has very thin hair and it fit perfectly. After playing around with it, she liked her hair in a low side bun. We used the Half Up to do the cute low side bun, with a few strands framing her face. I showed her how to wrap her hair in the half up, and then twist it up to create that perfect side bun.

I think this hairstyle will look great for her birthday party and it will stay in place when she is line dancing to her favorite country songs!

A makeover would not be complete without makeup. Danette let me put a little lip gloss and eye shadow on her and then we snapped some fun photos. Danette loved her new hairstyle and loved posing for me and my camera.

My cousin Danette is someone close to my heart and my entire family is so proud of her. Danette and her sister Korie are like the younger sister’s I never had. Her passion, her dance moves, and her hugs are what make her Danette and I am glad there is a whole month to celebrate her and everyone with Down syndrome.

The Half Up on Campus

What better way to start a Friday then with hot coffee and a cute 'do! My friend Bailey and roommate Sylvia are testing this theory. Cold and rainy weather is approaching here in Cincinnati, Ohio and these girls know just what it takes to overcome the harsh weather ahead.

The Half-Up is a major time saver. Within seconds, their hair is transformed from bedhead to chic perfection just in time to make it to their 9 am classes. A great addition to this look includes headbands, bows, and even cute clips. When the temperature becomes unbearable, keep rocking the do with the addition of earmuffs.

My friends pair their unique hairdo with their fab fall apparel and favorite Starbucks drink. What more could a girl want? May your Friday start out this fabulous too!

Around Campus: LOGAN

My name is Logan Bykofsky, and as a new social media intern for Sarah Potempa Hairstyling Tools I couldn’t have been more excited to try out the Wrap Up this week on all my friends! Classes are in full swing already at Penn State, and my friends and I are always running out of our apartments and hustling from class to class and sometimes also dealing with extreme temperamental weather conditions. With such busy schedules its not always easy to find cute, easy and (most importantly) quick hairstyles that we can do ourselves before heading out the door every morning to take on the day.

I showed my roommates the Wrap Up this week and they were ecstatic! In less than two minutes my roommate had a super cute and trendy top knot that completely transformed her look from messy to chic and stylish. With just a hair tie and a brush in hand, the Wrap Up was able to work its magic on one of my roommates’ undone hair. She loved the Wrap Up because they could utilize the tool to make a messy bun to wear at home, to class or just for hanging out; but could also make a clean and tight top knot to wear on weekends or nights out in downtown State College. After testing out the product on her, she threw on a super cute headband to be the finishing detail on her new look and kept the Wrap Up in her hair for the entire rest of the day!

The Wrap Up allows for such a large variety of looks that all take only a matter of minutes to complete and it works on all hair types, as well as fits snuggly in your purse or backpack so you can change your hairdo on the go.

Logan

Apple Picking & buns

My name is Bri Castro and I am honored to be one of the new social media interns for the Sarah Potempa team. I am currently attending California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and I am studying public relations and communication.

I saved my socks for my feet and used my new Wrap Up to create a perfect up do for a day of apple picking!

In Southern California, fall season is almost nonexistent. The closest we get to wear fluffy scarves and pretty pea coats is simply pinning them on Pinterest. Fall fashion may be in our dreams, but there are still traditions to withhold.

If you have already ordered your pumpkin spice latte, made a trip to the local pumpkin patch, or like me, go apple picking then you are doing the fall season right!

I went to the Riley’s Farm to pick apples and to learn about the different types of apples they grow. I wore my hair in an undone up do using my new wrap up. It is amazing that I can style my hair in 5 minutes, and since it is over 100 degrees, the wrap up creates a perfect up do for this hot weather.

I spent the day learning about the different types of apples that grow on the orchid and their unique names, like “Red Fuji” or “Golden Delicious”. While I was picking apples, it was nice to have my hair out of my face, but in a stylish way of course.

Before I posed for some photos, I used my Mini On Set Styling Brush to take away any flyaways that I did not want. It is great to have this mini brush in my purse ready to smooth away my curly hair!

Apple picking is definitely a must do for fall and I had a lot of fun learning about them! The Wrap Up has been added to my go to hairstyles and this trip was just the start. Where have you worn your wrap up this fall season?

Brianna
