How To: Wrap Up Bun

The Wrap Up Bun is super simple to use, and creates a beautiful, elegant bun. If you'd like a cleaner, tighter bun, first put your hair in a ponytail. Once it has almost reached the end, begin to roll the Wrap Up closer to your ponytail until you get to the top. Once you get there, wrap the Wrap Up around in order to form the shape of a bun. Get the look: 1960's

In the 1960s, hair was high and eye makeup was dramatic. Women were dressing in psychedelic prints and mismatched patterns. Editors at Modern Beauty Salon asked her to create a brand new hairstyle that would wow the beauty world. Inspired by a velvet fez that she owned, she created the beehive. HOW TO: DANNIJO FAUX-HAWK

Dannijo’s Fall/Winter 2014 presentation was focused around the ballerina and the boxer. The theme coined BOXERina was brought to life at the Eyebeam Studios including a boxing ring set, the delicate dancers wore the fall collection of jewels (complete with tutus!).  Sarah’s vision behind the hair focused on marrying the graceful nature of the ballerina and the tough appearance of a boxer. She also wanted to create a look that would flatter from all angles while still carrying out the devoted Dannijo theme. The hair style was a funky faux hawk created with the Wrap Up and Half Up. Below are the steps...
